Special Education Parent Advisory Council
A GROUP OF PARENT VOLUNTEERS COMMITTED TO HELPING ALL FAMILIES ACCESS EDUCATIONAL,COMMUNITY, AND FAMILY SUPPORTS FOR THEIR SPECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS.
What & Why
A SEPAC is a state mandated group run by special education parents and guardians within each school district. Taunton SEPAC is a group of parent volunteers committed to helping all families access educational, community, and family supports for their special education students. It is our mission to connect families with the needed information and resources necessary to help their children reach their potentials, lead full and meaningful lives. We host informational workshops, social events, and help families fully understand the special education process. It is also the job of a SEPAC to work closely alongside our district’s special education department and school committee; to be the voice of our special education families, bringing forth their concerns, confusions, praises, & ideas for change.
